It has been confirmed that the Rt. Rev. Vicent Kirabo Amooti, Bishop of Hoima Catholic Diocese will in this month of July ordain other 8 Deacons and 11 Priests for the Diocese of Hoima and to Priesthood one Deacon Bulaziyo Kyaligonza CMF for the Congregation of Missionaries, Sons of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary, The Claretians.

In an interview with the Vocations Director, Rev. Fr. Jude Ssemambo Abwooli confirmed that, “one Deacon from Buliisa Parish Rev. Prospero Tugume Araali will be ordained ahead of his colleagues on July 9, 2022, becoming the first priest ever to come from this Parish.”

The rest will be ordained one week after  at Bujumbura Cathedral, Hoima City, on July 16, 2022.

This year’s Ordination Mass will be animated by St. Cyprian Town Parish Joint Choir.

With great Joy, Fr. Ssemambo welcomes these ordinandees with a biblical quotation from Mathew 9:37-38:  So He said to His disciples, “The harvest is large, but there are few workers to gather it in. Pray to the owner of the harvest that he will send out workers to gather in his harvest.”

Remember, on August 9, 2022, Hoima Diocese will marking 58 years of existence, with 50 Parishes comprising the diocese which started with only 7 in 1965.

Fr. Ssemambo wished the Lord’s servants who are yet to be ordained Peace, as they will be serving God with love and happiness.
